To be more precise, the Langtang Gosaikunda Lauribina Pass Trek is a combination of two popular trekking routes in the Langtang Region viz. the beautiful Langtang Valley Trek and the sacred Gosaikunda Lake Trek. Situated in Langtang National Park, this trek provides a unique experience of both natural beauty and cultural immersion and offers an extraordinary blend of stunning landscapes, sacred lakes, and the Himalayan culture.

Langtang Gosaikunda Lauribina Trek itinerary includes trekking through dense forests, alpine meadows, and traditional Tamang villages. We will be enchanted by the picturesque sceneries of the gigantic peaks like Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and Himalchuli mountain during our trip. Whereas, the high-altitude holy and spiritual Gosaikunda Lake adds a spiritual dimension to the journey. If you’re looking for an exciting adventure in Nepal that includes tough hikes, cultural experiences, and amazing views of the mountains, the Langtang Gokaikunda Lauribina trek is just right for you.

One of the best parts of the trip is the climb to Lauribina Pass, which is 4,610 meters high. Plus, walking through Gosaikunda is a peaceful and refreshing experience since it’s a very holy place for both Buddhists and Hindus. Every year thousands of pilgrims visit this holy and spiritual site on the occasion of the Janai Purnima festival and other celebrations. Hence, the Langtang Gosaikunda Lauribina combined trek covers a variety of landscapes and altitudes, making it both physically challenging and rewarding. Each day brings a new experience, from the rich biodiversity of Langtang National Park to the serene beauty of Gosaikunda’s sacred lakes.

The itinerary of Langtang Gosaikunda Lauribina Trek typically takes about 10 to 15 days depending on the routes, the pace, and other factors. The regular program commences with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi which is the gateway to the Langtang Valley. From Syabrubesi, the actual trekking kicks off with a hike through lush forests filled with rhododendrons and oak trees, passing rivers and waterfalls. The first few days take you to Lama Hotel and then up to Langtang Village, which was highly affected by the earthquake in 2015 and rebuilt. Further on, the trail leads to Kyanjin Gompa, where you can enjoy spectacular views of Langtang Lirung and explore the surrounding glaciers and monasteries. Trekkers usually plan an acclimatization here and hike up to Kyanjin Ri 4,600m which an amazing destination for a side-trip.

After descending from Langtang Valley, we will continue ascending towards another important destination of our trip which is the Gosaikunda Lake. It is one of Nepal’s most sacred pilgrimage sites which is a serene and turquoise-blue lakes which are surrounded by rugged peaks. Legends have it that the Lake was formed by Lord Shiva himself when he pushed his Trishula (Trident) into a mountain in order to draw water to soothe his poisoned throat. That is why the Gosaikunda Lake is a place with deep spiritual significance for the pilgrims. After spending time at Gosaikunda, we proceed towards the next and the challenging destination of our Langtang Gosaikunda Lauribina Pass i.e. the Lauribina Pass. Being at an elevation of 4,610m, the pass offers sweeping views of the Himalayas including Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and the Langtang Lirung.

Further, we will be descending through beautiful alpine forests and Tamang villages like Ghopte, Tarke Ghyang, and Melamchi Gaun before ending the trek at Sundarijal near Kathmandu. In this way, the mingling of Langtang Valley and Gosaikunda Lake with Lauribina pass concludes. However, you can customize this Langtang Gosaikunda itinerary with the Nepal Mountain Guide.
