Bijan Ale

Originally from Gorkha, Bijan Ale started working in the trekking industry in 2016. Prior to getting into this profession, he looked into a variety of vocations and even contemplated working abroad. But his strong ties to his native country, his love of travel, and his profound appreciation of Nepal’s scenery all pulled him back to the mountains. Because of this love, he decided to make trekking his career, and he currently works as the managing director of Nepal Mountain Guide.

Starting as a porter, Bijan learned the value of perseverance and dedication in the mountains. His firsthand knowledge of the trekking trails in Nepal comes not just from his guiding experience, but also from his years spent carrying loads through some of the most challenging trekking routes in Nepal. His expertise extends over the popular trekking in Nepal like Annapurna Circuit, and Manaslu Circuit, as well as the remote and off-the-beaten Kanchenjunga Base Camp, Rara Lake Trek, and also the hidden gems like the Ruby Valley Trek and Tsum Valley. Along with these trails, he also possesses knowledge of adrenaline trekking and climbing routes such as Thorong Peak Climbing, Mera Peak Climbing, and Dhaulagiri Circuit have given him a deep understanding of the country’s diverse trekking landscapes.

What makes Bijan’s experience stand out is his commitment to authentic adventure. He doesn’t just follow the main trekking routes; instead, he actively seeks out lesser-known trails and ensures that trekkers under his guidance get to explore Nepal’s true beauty, away from the well-trodden paths. His journey from a humble porter to Managing Director gives him a unique perspective on both leadership and trekking.

With the presidency of Bijan, Nepal Mountain Guide continues to offer trekking experiences in Nepal that are not only professionally managed but also rich in local culture and natural beauty.
